The Corona del Mar Residents Association’s (CdMRA) 2025 Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 6, at the lovely Sherman Gardens, a venue sure to be in its full summer glory!
Our Community Expo will begin at 5:00 p.m., and features representatives from City departments and community organizations. This is your opportunity to meet with City and community representatives to discuss issues and concerns, or simply to stop to say hello.
City departments invited include the Newport Beach Police Department (including Crime Prevention and Neighborhood Watch staff), Newport Beach Fire Department (joined by Newport Fire Safe Committee and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) representatives), Community Development/Code Enforcement, Public Works/Water Quality, Library Services and Foundation, and Recreation/Senior Services. We have also invited representatives from community organizations such as the Newport Beach Film Festival, CDM Chamber of Commerce, Friends of OASIS, SPON (Still Protecting Our Newport), FONBAS (Friends of the Newport Beach Animal Shelter), Boys & Girls Club of Newport Beach, Kerckhoff Lab, Airport Working Group and more.
Our speakers’ program will follow the Expo at 6:15 p.m. Mayor Pro Tem Lauren Kleiman (District 6) will share the City’s 2025 plans for Corona del Mar’s projects and improvements. NB Fire Chief Jeff Boyles and NB Police Lt. Gary Clemente representatives will share the latest updates on Public Safety, focusing on key prevention measures and training already in place for citizens and planned projects that address home, personal and community safety. Scott LaFleur, Executive Director of Sherman Library & Gardens, will also share an update on the “Grow the Gardens” project – – a reimagination and renovation of the property to better meet the growing needs of the community.
Refreshments are hosted by Brenda McCroskey Team-Compass and Papa’s Liquor.
A Silent Auction will be held with amazing offerings such as a 2-night Staycation from VEA NB, Annual Dual Memberships for the NB Film Festival/OC Film Festival, a Family Membership from Sherman Library & Gardens, a Gift Certificate from Rothschilds, and two 2026 Witte Lecture Tickets in the new Witte Hall from the NB Public Library Foundation. Winners not only receive their lovely gift, but a tax deduction for their donation since CdMRA is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
With the beautiful backdrop of Sherman Gardens and the timely community topics, we know that CdMRA’s Annual Town Meeting will be full of information for all CdM residents.
