Meetings & Events

Each year, the Corona del Mar Residents Association sponsors keynote events which focus on local issues that are important to our members and the community at large.  Most of these events are open to the general public; some are for members only.

CdMRA members receive advance notice of these events, and have priority admission status, especially important for events that are popular and result in standing-room-only attendance.

Our signature recurring events are listed below.  We encourage you to mark your calendar and make plans to join us at one or more of these events.

CdMRA hosts this annual signature event.  It starts with our Community Social which provides our members and guests the opportunity to meet and talk with City representatives, CdMRA board members and volunteers from local civic organizations.     A topical speakers’ program follows the social which typically draws a standing-room only crowd.  Local businesses, and groups like the Newport Beach Film Festival, donate an array of amazing prizes for our Opportunity Drawing.  This is one event you don’t want to miss.

CdMRA Election Forum

Each election year, typically on the last Wednesday in September, 6:00 p.m.
ocal Candidate Meet & Greet followed by a moderated Candidate Panel

Honoring its mission of providing information on local issues to its members and residents, CdMRA hosts an Election Forum each election year, featuring City Council candidates and ballot measure proponents and opponents. This is a unique opportunity to have Council candidates address concerns specific to Corona del Mar residents. The CdMRA Election Forum is the highly anticipated and most well-attended forum throughout the City.  It is a lively, thought-provoking event lead by moderators who have passion for effective and transparent local governance.
