Accomplishments

MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS – BECAUSE OF OUR COLLECTIVE VOICE

1

Collaborative relationships with and access to key city leaders and staff

2

An ever-expanding membership which increases the magnitude of our voice, our reputation and our influence

3

Member surveys which provided input to City for decisions on development standards, banning Saturday construction noise in high-density residential areas, requiring residential construction site signs, zoning codes which specifically address our narrow 30-ft Village lots, short-term lodging changes and more

4

Stricter solicitation rules which require permits and compliance with the Do Not Solicit Registry which help keep our neighborhoods safe

5

Gas-powered leaf blower ban for residential properties in CdM Village and in planned communities which opt in to the ban

6

Expanded opportunities to bring our members and city leaders together, including our monthly meetings attended by council members and public safety personnel, our highly anticipated Annual Town Meeting & Community Expo and the highest-attended City Election Forums in election years.

7

Rallied support to keep CdM’s branch library when slated for closure and later advocated for rebuilding up-to-date CdM Library and CdM Fire Station facilities rather than moving them out of our community

8

Fire Marshal position reinstated because of wild fire concerns in Buck Gully and other CdM wildland interface areas

9

Formally recognized 501(c)(3) public charity, providing for tax-exempt member dues and donations codes which specifically address our narrow 30-ft Village lots

10

Timely members-only email newsletters sharing news, alerts and announcements

11

Communication with the broader CdM community through our website, social media channels ana our Spring and Fall newsletters, printed and mailed to over 6,400 residences in every Corona del Mar neighborhood.
