Short-Term Lodging Update . . .  

The City Council approved new regulations that will allow more oversight of Newport Beach’s short-term rental housing on on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.  The new regulations will, among other changes, prohibit short-term rentals to anyone under 21 years of age and establish maximum occupancy limits based on existing Building and Fire Code requirements, and will go into effect August 13, 2020.  For more information, read hereAlso visit NewportBeachca.gov.  To view permitted short-term lodgings in Newport Beach on the City’s interactive map here.

Announcing Newport Ready Guide . . .

For the past year, the Newport Beach Fire and Police Departments have been working with Chapman University and the Emergency Management Institute of Design on a Newport Ready Guide.  The Newport Ready Guide is now available here.
